Bilston Creek Lavender Farm Wedding

Jessica + Tanner | Wedding | Bilston Creek Farm

June 29, 2019 in Victoria, Vancouver Island, Wedding

On a warm summer’s day in June, Jessica and Tanner, two high school sweethearts, tied the knot in front of their close friends and family at the Bilston Creek Farm.

“Tanner asked both my grandmothers from each side of the family (one who was my guardian and raised me since I was 12 years old), my Aunty Tricia (my late mother’s identical twin), and my cousin Dawson for my hand in marriage. On June 30th we took some wine down to the Esquimalt Lagoon, a beach near and dear to our hearts and during sunset, and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!”

The lavender farm provided the perfect backdrop to Jessica’s theme of neutrals, blushes, deep pinks and gold and greenery. These colours complimented the venue perfectly, and let the natural beauty of the location shine.

As seen in the spring/summer issue of Today’s Bride Magazine!

“I can’t say enough about this special place and the dedicated people who work there. The entire vibe of the venue is indescribable. Every angle is worthy of a photo-op. The lavender field and it’s aroma is euphoric.”

Jessica and Tanner decided on a quick first look before their ceremony, in order to quell some of those wedding day jitters, as well as read their vows in private. Some of the wedding details of the day included, the farm’s giant lavender wall, that made the venue smell divine and had a very calming effect on everyone; the bride’s parent’s wedding photo beside the groom’s parent’s wedding photo; a donut wall; and gorgeous floral arrangements including the bride’s incredible bouquet.
